Seminar on Career Opportunities in Zoology

A Seminar on academic and career opportunities after BS Zoology with specialization in Fisheries and Aquaculture was organized by the University of Okara’s Aqua Awareness Club & Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture in association with Institute of Pure & Applied Zoology (IPAZ). The keynote speaker of the event, Dr Muhammad Abid, Director Fisheries & Aquaculture Punjab, talked about different job opportunities available for the graduates of this field.

Prof Dr Muhammad wajid, Director IPAZ, encouraged the students to start their own business after completing their BS degree in fisheries and aquaculture. Dr Muhammad Sajjad Sarwar, In-Charge of the department, told the students that they could pursue their careers is fisheries research and also start up fish farming.

Dr Majid Hussain, lecturer at the department, enlighten the students about the scoop and importance of the degree in the context of international job market.

Dr Imrana Amir, an interim placement fellow at the department, guided the students about different scholarship and academic opportunities in this field.

Dr Muhammad Mudassar Shahzad, Dr Hira fatima and Dr Muhammad Idnan also addressed the seminar.
