District Administration has taken the bold step of clearing the drain from debris as well as encroachment from Benazir road Okara .Usman Ali DC.

The Deputy Commissioner Okara Mr Usman Ali told that Benazir Road drain was blocked and encroached for many years thereby causing sewerage water as well as rain water to appear and inundate the road, ultimately damaging it. For the first time in Okara’s history, District Administration has taken the bold step of clearing the drain from debris as well as encroachment. 75% work has Alhamdulillah been completed. Work to be completed during this week InshaAllah.**Furthermore a new drain is also being constructed in the middle of the Road to resolve this issue on permanent basis. Road repair shall immediately follow the new drain construction. This new work of new drain and road repair shall also be completed within 45 days InshaAllah
