Additional Secretary HED visits UO

The Additional Secretary Special Initiatives of the Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab, Tariq Hameed Bhatti, visited the University of Okara

and inspected various academic and administrative arrangements and COVID-19 preventive measures. He expressed satisfaction over the UO administration’s efforts to ensure safe and healthy environment for the provision of quality education to more than 16,000 students.

Speaking to the UO faculty, Bhatti hailed the relentless struggle of the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar for establishing state-of-the-art academic infrastructure despite budgetary and pandemic constraints. He ensured that the HEd would lend complete support to the UO for its future initiatives.

“I am pleased to see such a lush green campus with a vibrant academic life. Issues and problems are everywhere but I am sure the new universities will soon overcome all of them with the active support of the HED and the government”, told the Additional Secretary.

The VC appreciated the HED’s constant support for the betterment and development of the university.
